The Drive Medical SG-3CRD-852 Sunfire Gladiator Very HD Power Wheelchair is not your ordinary electric wheelchair. It is definitely their highest end model, that is made to accomodate users with specific needs. As with their other models, it still has a lot of the same standard features, such as adjustable and removable arm rests, adjustable seat height, and a few others. Even with it's large size, Drive Medical was able to give the Sunfire Gladiatior a decent turn radius at 23.8 inches (60.5 centimeters). They call it a Very HD Power Wheelchair because of it's extreme weight, at 285 pounds (129.3 kilograms) it can carry passengers weighing up to 500 pounds (226.8 kilograms). Keep in mind that with this heavy weight, you will also need to purchase and install a lift on your car or SUV to be able to transport it long distances. This can add an additional cost of a few hundred dollars, to a device that is already well above ten thousand dollars. Let's see how it stacks up against the EZ Lite Cruiser Standard and HD Heavy Duty Models:
