The Shoprider Dasher 4 is a mobility scooter weighing 94 pounds (42.6 kilograms) when you factor in the weight of the batteries. It can support passengers weighing up to 250 pounds (113.4 kilograms). Because of its weight and size, may want to purchase and install a lift on your car if you are going to be transporting it long distances, to avoid constant dis-assembly and re-assembly. Also, it may be cumbersome to deal with when taking it to certain places such as the airport, a cruise ship or public transportation. Some users were inclined to purchase a separate van just to transport it. In terms of turning radius, the Shoprider Dasher 4 has a 37 inch (94 centimeter) turn radius, which means it will be extremely limited with mobility indoors such as a supermarket, department store, a house of worship, and other public places, not to mention inside your home. If you are fine with limiting the use of your Shoprider Dasher 4 to just the outdoors, then that may not be a problem for you, but as we've found from reviews online, many users do not like this. Another couple of limiting factor is the speed of the Dasher 4 topping out at a maximum of 3.8 miles per hour (6.1 kilometers per hour) and its maximum range, able to only go as far as 7.5 miles (12.1 kilometers) on a full battery charge. Let's see how it stacks up against the EZ Lite Cruiser Standard and HD Heavy Duty Models:
