The Shoprider Sunrunner 4 is a mobility scooter weighing 180 pounds (81.6 kilograms) when you factor in the weight of the batteries. It can support passengers weighing up to 300 pounds (136.1 kilograms). Because of its weight and size, you may want to purchase and install a lift on your car if you are going to be transporting it long distances. Also, it may be cumbersome to deal with when taking it to certain places such as the airport, a cruise ship or public transportation. Some users were inclined to purchase a separate van just to transport it. The Shoprider Sunrunner 4 has a 50 inch (127 centimeter) turn radius, which means it will be extremely limited with mobility indoors such as a supermarket, department store, a house of worship, and other public places, not to mention inside your home. If you are fine with limiting the use of your Shoprider Sunrunner 4 to mainly the outdoors, then that may not be a problem for you, but as we've found from reviews online, many users do not like this. Let's see how it stacks up against the EZ Lite Cruiser Standard and HD Heavy Duty Models:

Useability: Handles indoor areas effortlessly. Has a small turning radius. Works great on flat areas and light outdoors. Perfect for going to the store, or riding around shopping malls. Can be taken to outdoor markets, sporting events and most parks and recreational areas. Because of its poor turning radius, it is not ideal for indoors. Handles simple outdoor mobility fairly, such as paved sidewalks & flat surfaces, but may be limited as to the terrains it can roll on.
Testimonials Many EZ Lite Cruiser customer have reported that they love the product because it is extremely light weight, very affordable, and it has improved their mobility and quality of life. Testimonials are mixed. Some of the biggest complaints from customers is the overall size, turn radius and weight of the device which makes it difficult to travel long distances.
