When moving through town on the sidewalk if there is a sudden slight slope and you don't have momentum the front end will spin out and is very scary so make sure to stay on level ground. The issue has been with the ada curb slants ironically. You have to take them head on.
Earlier this week the back wheel fell off so I've added to my list of monthly maintenance to check those screws. However service suggests using loctite with the new screws so that should work. About 50 cents a screw but 12 for shipping. (considering the urgency and that fedex delivered in 2 days that's pretty fair).
Parts seem awfully expensive for the disabled community. The plastic end of the joystick cable cracked where it plugs in and now it's going to cost $25 plus $15 shipping to replace the entire cable. Each time we transport it and put in the trunk we remove the joystick and place in the back bag however service recommends simply placing the joystick in-between the cushions when folding up with the cable still connected. Will try that. Kickstands never came with set screws so after awhile it stopped standing up which makes sense. Service suggested ordering another set of kickstands for $40 but you can buy .50 cent bolts from Home Depot that will fit so they don't move. Pro tip we added cane rubber caps to give them a bigger more stable footprint. Lately when she drives it onto the elevator she has about a 1 in 10 chance when she takes her hand off the control it will not stop on a dime as expected and drives her into the wall so she makes sure to keep her feet in. Service suggested loosening and retightening a screw on the electric brake system to reset it however they're cheap aluminum and tightened so much I could not loosen it even though the screw driver fit perfect it stripped and turned the screw to mush and now cannot be moved. Hoping since the motor is under warranty they will replace it so she stops crashing."
I recommend this wheelchair to anyone who need more freedom and independence."
all in all, very satisfied purchasing this product. it may seem scary for such a large sum of money but everything has come along smoothly."
